Hmmmm, I love dried tomatoes in a cream sauce with pasta. Tell me. How exactly did you do this? What will you do with them now that it is done?

Baked tomatoes? I never thought of baking tomatoes. :D

Misty: I have a jenn air range with a "drying" feature. It allows me to dehydrate foods at low temps, but I'm pretty sure you could do it in a conventional oven, if you can keep the oven door cracked open. This range comes with a little magnet doo-hickey that props the door open about 2 inches. After cutting them and arranging them on the waxed paper, I sprinkle a TINY bit of sea salt on them. I start the tomatoes at 145 degrees for the first 4 hours, then turn it down to 105 until they are leathery, but not crisp. I fill little 1/2 pint canning jars with the dried tomatoes, then cover them with olive oil and store them in the fridge. They keep FOREVER (though delicious as they are, they'll be gone much sooner!)

That's amazing - I didn't even know those could be made at home, for some silly reason.
